The Sea

For all the men who go to sea.
You all hear the female sea’s plea
“Come and join the journey with me”
Her waters are deep
Her temper is vast
She is the one who controls you at last.
Through her storms are fierce
Her moods are unpredictable
For you, she will be unstable
Yet you are drawn to her.
You all return to her
When times are good, they are very good.
When times are bad, they can be deadly.
Yet, these men are driven to her.
These men love that they cannot control her.
These, men of the sea.
Hears her plea.
These men join with her.
Joins her on the life journey of the sea.
