These words ring so true

People are so cruel and always to defend
myself with heart and honor.
Always I stand, Always I protect, Always
have to prove myself worth here.
Does no one really care for anyone else
except himself or herself? Yet they ask for my help and backing.
My words, mean things to people, I do not
understand this, yet I still go and give them, help them.
Just once, I wanted my soul mate to stand
by my side, but I even he is frightened of what I have to say and of my true
love that swells up inside of me.
How will I survive here when even he
abandons me for his safe ways?
How do I fit in?
How do I help others, when my word is miss
read by my true soul mate?
Strange—I help others, yet I cannot help
him, in his quest.
Maybe next time, but I will not come back.
I have asked to renounce the contract of
life.
