When you Take your Life Mate

Your life mate

Is not formed out of hate.

When you take a mate

It is not like one’s food on a plate.

Each person gives in a bit

Each person gives 100 percent

Each person gives life to the other

It is not like sister or brother

Mother or Father.

We sometimes let go of life of past

The union we have is called to last.

Finding our own way to this union.

Giving each other respect and time.

Making sure their life is as rich.

Not letting fevers hitting high pitch.

Forgiving and learning we must all adjust.

Giving time and respect to each other.

Show the things that we each discover.

Becoming true to life of each other.

Not acting like sister or brother

Not acting like Mother or Father

But taking each other as a true loyal lover.

This is giving respect to your mate

It is never too late.
